This driver may have been able to afford a £150,000 Bentley Continental GT V8, but obviously not the insurance to go alongside...so police seized it.

Officers from the Cross Border Police, a specialist team working on the borders of Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire, pulled the car over after it made a “silly overtake” in Oundle town centre.

Police then discovered the man driving the sports coupe had no tax for the luxury car and no insurance.

Officers said it certainly gained a “lot of attention” as they took the car away on the back of a lorry.

The man now has 14 days from the date it was seized, last Sunday, June 14, to get insurance and produce the relevant documents to the police.

If he fails to do so the car could be crushed.
