At about 4pm on Thursday, February 9, the victim, a woman in her 50s, was flagged down by a man while travelling on the A142 slip road at the junction with the A14 near Fordham.

The man said he was low on fuel and asked the woman to lend him money in return for gold rings.

The victim refused to give the man cash but agreed to drive to the nearest petrol station to pay for his fuel where the man filled up with £49.97 worth of fuel and then left giving the victim a fake business card.

PC Rob Knapper said: “We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV image as we believe he will be able to assist us with our investigation.”
