A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after reports a man was stabbed in a Peterborough street.

The two boys, from Peterborough, were arrested today following the alleged attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said officers were called to the junction of Saxon Road and Durham Road in the city at 1.10am on Wednesday, following reports a 50-year-old man had been stabbed.

He suffered injuries to his back, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital, although his injuries were not described as serious.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
