Body found in woodland near Peterborough

A body found in woodland near Glinton is believed to be that of a man who has been missing since last summer.

The body was discovered by a member of the public in woodland between Glinton and Northborough at 1pm today (6 April).

Police were seen in the Nine Bridges area near Glinton today, and a cordon was put up.

Cambridgeshire police said the body is believed to be that of 53-year-old Michael Smith, who was last seen in June.

Michael - better known as Mickwas last seen in the Etton area of Peterborough at about 11.30am on 11 June.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious and will be passed to the coroner.
