One man was arrested during an illegal rave in Peterborough on Sunday which saw 300 revellers attend a party in Orton Southgate.

Police were called to the disused factory in Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate at 1am on Sunday.

The rave lasted until 3pm.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “Police were contacted at 1am yesterday (February 15) to reports of an illegal rave in Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate in Peterborough.

“On arrival officers found about 300 people attending the rave. Due to the number of people and safety concerns, it was decided to monitor the event.

“A 20-year-old man was later arrested for a public order offence and given a penalty notice for disorder.”
