Arrest following Hampton stabbing

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Hampton.

The stabbing happened in Hargate Way, Hampton Hargate, Peterborough on Friday, July 8 at about 2.25pm.

A man, aged in his 20s, had been stabbed in the chest, and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Following the incident a police cordon was put in place around the One Stop Shop, and customers were unable to access the store while investigations took place.

Yesterday a 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. He remains at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
