Appeal after thieves target fishing lake's equipment

Police are appealing for information after a tractor and a ride-on lawnmower were stolen from a fishing lake.

The thefts took place between 10am on Monday, September 19 and 1.30pm on Tuesday, September 20 after offenders cut the locks to a compound at Hamptons Fishing Lake, Mill Road, Fen Drayton and stole the equipment.

The red Massey Ferguson tractor, which has no cab and a loader on the front, was driven through nearby Fenstanton before it was abandoned on Glebe Road near to the allotments. The ride-on mower, a Toro Timecutter, remains missing.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen the tractor being driven in the Fenstanton area on the Monday night or early hours of Tuesday morning to come forward.
