Scores of twinkle-toed youngsters at a Peterborough dance school have been honoured for their artistic achievements.

The Nene School of Dancing, which launched in January, held its first medal presentation event for its students who meet at the Parkway Club, in Maskew Avenue.

Some 100 youngsters, aged from three to young adults, took a total 160 International Dance Teachers Association exams in June, achieving a 100 per cent pass rate.

The presentation, held recently at the club, was attended by about 200 people, with family and friends joining the budding stars of the dance floor.

It was also an opportunity to showcase the talent of the dance school’s students and visitors were treated to a variety of demonstrations.

Principal Janina Mossman, who is pictured at the presentation event, paid tribute to the youngsters.

She said: “We are very proud. The whole team are very proud of what they did.”
