An artistic teenager has won a top competition to have his work displayed at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre.

Eighteen-year-old Ryan Wooding’s poster design has been chosen to promote Serpentine Green’s Autumn fashion show in Hampton taking place next week.

Ryan, from Walton, Peterborough, designed the poster to go alongside his art and design foundation course at the Isle Campus at the College of West Anglia.

His design will be made into a banner, posters and adverts which will be displayed around the centre in the run up to the show, which is raising money for the charity Young Lives.

Ryan said: “I work hard to make my designs as innovative and fresh as possible and my work can be recognised for its textured, almost retro style.

“I’m really pleased with how the poster design has worked out and I hope I can continue my passion for designing with similar projects down the line.

“I would also like to thank Young Lives and Serpentine Green for the exceptional opportunity and support they have given, I’m now just excited to see my work in action.”

The show will take place at the centre on Saturday, October 6 with three displays at 11.30am, 2.30pm and 4pm.

Chantelle Watson, centre manager, said: “We were so impressed with Ryan’s professional design we are looking forward to seeing it printed.

“We have been bowled over with the creativity and tenacity of the young people who have been involved in putting this event together we are looking forward to a brilliant catwalk show on the day.”
