Commercial agent says it was behind Peterborough's largest letting

A leading commercial agents in Peterborough has revealed it was behind the largest letting in Peterborough for years.

Savills Peterborough, in Stuart House, City Road, played a key role in the move of holiday giant Thomas Cook from Bretton to its new 112,452 sq ft offices at West Point, Lynch Wood, last year.

The details were revealed as Savills nationally announced the company had enjoyed record results for the 12 months to the end of last year.

Revenue rose 13 per cent to £1,445.9 million while profits before tax went up 12 per cent to £135.8 million.

David Goodson, head of Peterborough for Savills, says: “The Peterborough office has transacted some significant deals in the past year including the letting of West Point to Thomas Cook, which is one of the largest deals to be done in the city for a number of years.

“Our non transactional teams have also once again performed extremely strongly and we look forward to augmenting these successes further into 2017”.

Jeremy Helsby, Savills’ group chief executive, said: “Savills is a strong and diverse global firm. We have started the year well and our expectations for the full year remain unchanged.”
