The Froglife Trust is appealing for local votes as it strives for nationwide acclaim on BBC1 in this year’s National Lottery Awards.

The Froglife Trust, which is based in Peterborough, involves people across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Huntingdonshire and Lincolnshire in amphibian and reptile conservation. It is improving 20 wildlife sites for these species, and is putting on an extensive programme of events and activities including wildlife boat trips on the River Nene.

Froglife is competing against six other projects to be crowned the winner of the Best Environment Project category.

Winners of the seven National Lottery Awards categories will each get a £3,000 cash prize to spend on their project, an iconic National Lottery Awards trophy and attend a star-studded glittering Awards ceremony in London, broadcast on BBC1 in September.

To vote for Froglife, or for more details, please go to www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards or telephone 0844 836 9683.
