Thieves were caught on camera when they broke into a house extension in Crowland and got away with power tools worth £600.

The owner of the property was able to provide the Spalding Guardian with three pictures from CCTV footage, which show a woman jumping out of a white van to open the gate of the property and the man seen inside looking for anything valuable.

Making a plea for witnesses, the owner said: “The CCTV footage shows the white Peugeot Partner van pull up at the gate and a girl get out and jump over the fence.

“The man drove off and then returned as the girl opened the gate. He backed up to the house and then ripped boarding off the door to gain access.

“The footage shows him looking around for something to steal.

”I hope by making the images public someone will recognise the thieves and they will be caught.”
