Young people aged 16-24 can attend a workshop to find their perfect job.

The Department for Work and Pensions and Tackling Worklessness in Peterborough is hosting a ‘Speed Interview Workshop’ on Monday (July 20) from 12.30-2pm at City College Peterborough. Each interview lasts eight minutes.

Local employers will be offering job opportunities in customer services, care, retail and administration. There will also be apprentices and traineeship opportunities.

Jason Whaley, senior operations manager at the Department for Work and Pensions, said: “I am thrilled we have this great opportunity to allow employers in Peterborough to see the talent that exists in their local labour market.”

Tackling Worklessness in Peterborough (TWIP) is a group which incorporates Jobcentreplus, Peterborough Regional College, City College Peterborough, Peterborough City Council, Steadfast and Seetec as well as many other local companies and organisations which meet regularly to look at how they can tackle worklessness in the city and is led by Cross Keys Homes housing association.
