Belvoir Peterborough will be joined by local company Gowers Surveyors and a representative from Zoopla Property Group to bring an exciting and informative Buy to Let Advice Workshop.

The team at Belvoir Peterborough launched a series of free workshops in November which have proved to be very popular. This month’s workshop, called “Selecting the Right Investment Property” covers everything from searching tips to assessing the potential of a property.

Michael Owens, senior franchise account manager at Zoopla will be demonstrating how to get the most out of the Zoopla Platform including tricks and tips to refine your property search. When it comes to searching for Investment Property it is essential to understand the market in which you plan to invest and Zoopla gives insights on all aspects of the property market, from price trends to average rental values.

The workshop will also include a discussion on property condition by local businessman Paul Gowers. Paul founded Gowers Surveyors in 2007 and has been in the property industry his whole career. Mr Gowers has been surveying property in the Peterborough area for 24 years so understands the local property market thoroughly and has kindly agreed to share some of his wisdom.

Buy to Let has been an attractive investment option for a number of years as the availability of mortgage products and low interest rates have made the process accessible. The forthcoming pension reform is also expected to increase interest in Buy to Let as the over 55s seek to grow their savings. Belvoir aims to educate investors through their workshops and make the buy to let process easier.

Terry Lucking, owner of Belvoir Peterborough and Belvoir Cambridge said, “Guest speakers are an essential part of our workshops; they add an engaging dynamic and an additional perspective. We’re lucky to work with such experienced professionals to deliver quality workshops.

In the future we hope to invite speakers including City Council representatives and local construction companies so that we can advise investors on different aspects of the buy to let process and help them become responsible landlords.”

The next workshop will be held on Tuesday 24th February from 7pm at the Park Inn, Peterborough. Property investors of all experience levels are welcome. For further information and to book please call 01733 321500.
