Seed supplier the Dalmark Group has started a major revamp and extension of its head office in Eye.

The £1.3 million project will include an extension to the grain and seed trading office, a 100 square metres central atrium, three new meeting rooms, a gymnasium and improved catering and rest room facilities.

We pride ourselves on being able to attract and retain the best staff in the industry.

But the development is not expected to lead to an immediate increase in staff numbers, which currently stand at about 40 people.

Construction is expected to be completed by mid-June of next year.

The investment in office accommodation is in addition to the group’s recent £2 million spend on seed cleaning, treating and storage.

Managing director of Dalton Seeds, Peter Fox, said; “This development is a clear indication of the shareholders’ long term commitment to Dalton Seeds and Dalmark Grain.

He added: “We pride ourselves on being able to attract and retain the best staff in the industry and this development is a key component of that aim.”

“We have a very strong balance sheet, which has allowed us to make these recent major investments to drive the businesses forward.”
