The first residents are expected to move in by summer next year.

“Cranberry Court will not only provide retirement living in a prime location, it will also breathe new life into the wider community.”

The complex will also have its own House Manager, a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points.

Ms Bissett added: “Our Retirement Living development will offer homeowners the independence of retaining home ownership, while living in a secure, high specification, energy efficient apartment.

“With the maintenance of all external and communal areas taken care of, homeowners can spend more time with family and friends.”
