The importance of engineering was brought home to Peterborough students with a visit to a housing complex in Potters Way.

Pupils from Thomas Deacon Academy made the trip to Kier Living’s Connect21 development in mid-November as part of their CREST award challenge.

CREST, run by the British Science Association, is a project-based awards scheme for students of science, technology, engineering and maths.

Nick Moore, managing director of Kier Living, said: “Kier Living recognise that encouraging students to excel at science, technology, engineering or maths is essential for the future of our exciting and dynamic industry.”
