A deliciously cool dessert restaurant is poised to open in Peterborough this summer.
Kaspa’s Desserts is expected to move into premises at 19 to 21 Bridge Street and to open for business over the next few months.
The new outlet will feature a total of 120 covers with 70 situated on the 1,497 sq ft ground floor level and a further 50 seats in the 1,300 sq ft basement.
Kaspa’s Desserts offers a range of hot and cold treats from across the world.
They include gelatos, waffles, crepes, milk shakes, smoothies and sundaes.
Most of the company’s restaurants are situated in Greater London, the South West and Wales and it plans to open another 22 soon across the UK including seven in the Midlands.
Julian Welch, director at commercial agents Barker Storey Matthews, which has arranged the letting, said: “The popularity of dessert parlours across the nation and, in recent months, particularly in Peterborough proves that this relatively new industry fad are firmly positioning themselves on the British high street.
“The popularity of these stores and the late night opening hours could perhaps be reflective of the increasing number of young people abstaining from alcohol oriented evenings.”
