City-based solicitors Roythorne Christmas has appointed Nick Ingrey as partner.Nick, who heads up Roythornes' successful family law team, has been with the firm for 34 years and sits on its management board.

He deals with a wide range of family law issues and is particularly well known for dealing with cases which involve agricultural land and farming interests, or where businesses are involved. Acting for clients from across the UK, he is recognised for his work in the Legal 500 guide as someone with "a reputation for his ability to get satisfactory settlements on behalf of nationally-based landowners in cases frequently involving the division of agricultural assets."

Speaking about his appointment, senior partner Paul Osborne said: "We are delighted to welcome Nick as a partner of the firm. Not only is he a first-class family lawyer, but he has played a major part in the growth and the development of the firm. His well-deserved appointment is recognition of his contribution towards our success."

Peterborough-based public relations and marketing consultancy Smye Holland Associates has expanded its highly capable and experienced team with the appointment of Mark Pennington as account executive.

A former trade and technical journalist, Mark brings more than 25 years' experience in editorial roles on factory equipment nNews, OEM design and, most recently, What's New in Building.

In his new position, he will help deliver media relations support to Smye Holland Associates' clients in the social housing, construction, waste management and engineering sectors, across a broad spectrum of trade and technical media.

Commenting on his new role, Mark said: "I am delighted to have this opportunity to join the outstanding team at Smye Holland Associates and build on my editorial experience for the benefit of the company's clients."
