Jobs are being created in Peterborough at a commercial vehicles maker after it secured funding of £2.5 million.
Wilcox Commercial Vehicles, in Market Deeping, is recruiting 30 extra staff after Barclays agreed the funding.
It will pave the way for the construction and fit out of a new 30,000 square feet workshop to complement the company’s existing facilities.
It will mean an increase in production capacity by 50 per cent for the firm, which is manufacturer of aluminium tipping bodies for the commercial vehicles market and has 75 full time staff and six apprentices.
Vito Ronzano, managing director, said: “The new factory will be operational in January creating new jobs in various departments.”
Steven Brown, relationship director at Barclays said: “The expansion will allow the company to grow and create jobs.”
