Argos has created 18 new jobs in Peterborough.

The firm is on the hunt for 18 friendly, customer focused drivers to help launch a new delivery-from-store service to customers in the Peterborough Maskew area, starting immediately.

Working with the store-based team, the roles involve driving and delivering items to other stores as well as customers’ homes in the area – ensuring people get the very best customer service when they shop at Argos. A clean driving licence and a good sense of direction are important skills for the role.

Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time contracts of between 16 to 30 hours are available. Successful applicants will receive on-the-job training and development and gain valuable and transferable skills via Argos’ Open Door system.

Gavin Meadows, Regional General Manager, at Argos, said: “We are looking for drivers with a difference – people who not only love being out and about in their community but who are good communicators and passionate about providing great customer service to ensure we can deliver the brilliant service that we are known for, store to door.

“People are at the heart of our business and it’s an incredibly exciting time to join Argos as we transform into a leading digital retailer. We can offer fantastic, flexible training that will benefit people for the long term.”
