Monday 2.40pm: A body washed up on a Norfolk beach on Sunday (11 January) is believed to be that of a Peterborough man.

Norfolk police, the Sheringham and Cromer Coastguard teams and an ambulance were called to the bottom of the slipway in East Runton at about 7.30am. They left at 9.30am.

The body is believed to be a man in his 50s and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, according to Norfolk police.

Official identification has not yet taken place.
