Two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan will visit Peterborough for a charity dinner next month.

The welterweight will be speaking at the Gladstone Park Community Centre in Bourges Boulevard on Saturday, June 27.

The event is being organised by Peterborough’s Active Youth which is running the evening to raise funds for the Amir Khan Foundation.

The money raised will go to an orphanage in Gambia.

Residents can hear Amir speak at the event which is running from 6-10pm.

Tickets cost £25 and include a three-course Indian meal.

VIP tickets for the evening cost £50 and include having a photo taken with Amir.

Other fundraising activities are set to take place on the night.

Amir is currently preparing for a fight in New York against Chris Algieri on Friday (May 29).
