A hair-raising stunt for charity as hairdressers take to the skies

A group of hairdressers from Peterborough have raised more than £2,300 for Sue Ryder's Thorpe Hall Hospice, by jumping out of a plane together.

Nisha Ricorda, 26, Jemma Ridlington, 23 and Laura Baxter, 25, from Pkai Hair Serpentine Green and Laura Chadwick, 30, from Pkai Hair Market Deeping, took on the hair-raising skydive on Monday, last week at Sibson Airfield.

Laura Baxter, manager of the salon at Hampton, who organised the skydive said: “We were so excited on the day - it was really good fun. The whole group went up together and then we all jumped out one after the other - so it was very much a team effort.”

The girls visited Thorpe Hall on Tuesday to present them with a cheque for £2,384.50.

“They were over the moon,” said Laura. “We want to say a huge thank you to our clients, family and friends who have helped us to raise this fantastic amount of money for such a great local cause.”
