Young and old have fun in the sun at Central Park

YOUNGSTERS and adults alike were able to enjoy the summer sunshine in one of Peterborough's parks.
As temperatures soared and edged above the forecast 25C yesterday, families flocked to the fun day at Central Park, where they were able to try out new activities, and get up close to one of TV’s most iconic baddies. Among the attractions at the park was a Dalek from hit TV show Dr Who, and despite their fearsome reputation, young and old fans of the programme – including Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson and his daughter Isabel – were delighted to be able to see the character in the flesh.

Other attractions included the chance to learn the skills of sailboarding without getting your feet wet, and having a go at paint balling.

And the youngsters were able to cool off in the shade under one of the huge trees in the park while watching children’s entertainer Arty Farty perform his act.
