A STAMFORD woman has been given a three-year Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO).
Anne Marie Dowling (30), of Sargents Court, Stamford, was issued with the ASBO following her conviction in April at Lincoln Crown Court for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and two counts of intimidation which resulted in a total of 12 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.

Under the terms of the ASBO, Dowling is now under a three-year order and is banned from doing the following, anywhere in England and Wales;

n Being in possession in a public place of any can, bottle or other vessel, containing alcohol on which the seal has been broken.

n Acting in any manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person in a public place.

These conditions are in force until May 8, 2011.

If she breaches any of the conditions without a reasonable excuse she will be arrested and could be jailed for up to five years and/or a fined.

South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) worked closely with Lincolnshire police to bring about the order.

Community Safety Officer for SKDC Sandy Kavanagh said: "We cannot tolerate violent behaviour anywhere in South Kesteven and if an ASBO is a way to control individuals we will continue to apply for them.

"ASBOs do work in South Kesteven because we are able to monitor the individual's behaviour and we will be keeping a close eye on Ms Dowling."

Asbo's don't work, jail her for 2 years in the first place and use it as a deterrent to stop scum like these hassling law abiding people.

ASBOs do not work, jail does not work. Dealling with symptoms NEVER works.

The underlying cause needs to be dealt with, and that applies to all problems.

The cause lies with the criminal, unnatural, psychopathic scum in Westminster, their opposames, and more pertinently their shadowy controllers. Get them out, get rid of the tasty poisonous filth that you have all been conditioned to accept as food, revolutionize the media, and you will see wondrous things take place.

Blizzard, either you are a bought-&-paid-for agent of the scum in question, or you completely lack intelligence.

To think it is intelligent to be able to pass judgement on a story you know barely anything about just shows how ignorant you really are. I think its disgusting that people should consider themselves as a better quality of person when they dont even know the individual or her circumstances. Not only is it completely childish to post a comment calling someone 'scum' but its down right rude and shows you have very little respect for other human beings. I would gladly take this entire comment back if you could honestly tell me you have never made a mistake in your life, somehow i dont think thats possible.
Grow up and have some respect.
