Wisbech: Woman is attacked

A WOMAN managed to fend off a would-be thief who tried to snatch her bag as she walked through Wisbech.
The attempted bag snatch happened on Tuesday, November 18, as the woman was walking along Tavistock Road near to Clarkson Avenue at about 7.20pm.

She was approached by the man, who tried to pull her bag from her shoulder.

The woman managed to hold on, and the offender ran off empty handed in the direction of Norwich Road.

He is described as white, between 21 and 40, 5ft 10ins tall and slim. He was wearing a light hooded top, dark trousers and had a bike with him.
