LAURA Stevens has spoken of the "horrible" moment when a car ploughed into the lounge of her first floor flat.
Seconds before the collision, Miss Stevens (19) had left the room to unload her washing machine.

She said: "The whole place was shaking. It was really horrible.

"I couldn't breath at first and thought I'm probably going to die now."

Today, her mother Angie Stevens, who lives in Spalding, said: "Laura is still in shock and just feels terrible about the little boy who has lost his father."

And Claire Francis, who Miss Stevens has been living with since the crash on Saturday, said: "Laura wants to move in and let the family of this man grieve.

"She may be offered new homes in Bretton or Westwood, but could also move to Spalding. She doesn't know what she's going to do yet."

Miss Stevens had only moved into the rented flat in Danish Court, Werrington, seven weeks before the accident.
