It's a nightmare out there today! FP Parkway is blocked at the services roundabout, north along the Nene parkway is blocked with burst watermains, traffic around Boongate is grinding to a halt... all fun but can we manage to blame Peterborough City Council in some way?

How come this is breaking news on monday when water was pouring out on to the roundabout from Thorpe Wood direction on Sunday morning? Did no-one take any action on sunday to avoid monday morning traffic chaos?

lol - did try but with the kids all yelling to get out for a promised trip out, I didn't get very far past looking for the number! Didn't come back that way so didn't realise nopthing had happened all day.

I wish I had had more time... the OH is going to get stuck in traffic getting home tonight :( but then he is the one who said the police will have reported it as they would have been driving through it to get in and out of the station!

Should have also said the water was coming down from Thorpe Wood and going into a drain on the roundabout, it wasn't on the parkway at the time we saw it

Bianca whats it got to do with PCC,do they sit in the Town Hall gazing into their crystal ball looking for a burst water main?

AW are responsible for the infrastructure so it is upto them to ensure all reports of leaks are acted upon, obviously this time they didn't get it right if they were at the scene on Sunday.
