Two dead in car crash

7.30pm: TWO people have died following a crash on the A1 near Peterborough.
The accident involved two cars and is believed to have happened shortly after 2pm underneath the flyover at Junction 17, near Haddon.
Police said two people from one of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries and were certified dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Peterborough District Hospital to be treated for injuries.
A stretch of the A1, close to where the accident happened, was closed while police investigations were carried out.
Traffic was diverted onto the roundabout which connects the A605 with the A1.
There were long traffic queues and delays for a period.
The road was reopened at 7.30pm.
