A FESTIVE fund-raising fun run will see a sea of Santas flood a Peterborough park in the lead up to Christmas this year.
Norwich and Peterborough building society has teamed up with hospice charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) to arrange the first Santa Run at Ferry Meadows Country Park.

The 2km race is taking place on Sunday, December 7, and all entrants over the age of 14 will receive a one-size-fits-all Father Christmas suit – complete with hat and beard.

Entry to the event costs £12 for adults and £5 for under-14s, who will be given a festive Santa hat to wear during the run.

Norwich and Peterborough marketing manager Kerry Morley, who is organising the event, said: “I can’t wait to see hundreds of Santas walking, jogging or running around the route.

“We want as many people as possible to sign up to enter.

“It will be a fun Sunday morning out that the whole family can take part in.”
