AS part of a pledge to turn the city green, shoppers have snapped up 2,500 free energy saving light bulbs.
In just over a week, the Energy Saving Trust has given out the bulbs, which last 12 times longer than a normal one, as part of the two-week Green Festival.

A spokesperson for the Energy Saving Trust said: “Thousands of shoppers have been committing to going green this week at Queensgate.

“The Energy Saving Trust, which is at the centre as part of its Green Festival activities, has handed out the energy saving light bulbs as reward for shoppers who sign up to live a greener lifestyle.”
