Driver killed as serious accident leaves A605 closed

UPDATE 9AM: The driver who lost his life was a man, police said today. The lorry driver, a 44-year-old Nottinghamshire man, was unhurt.
UPDATE 7PM: A driver has died following the crash, police have confirmed.
Traffic heading east on the A605 from Peterborough is being diverted via the B1095 towards Pondersbridge.
The A605 is expected to remain closed until around 7.30pm.
UPDATE 5.35PM: The A605 has been closed and emergency services are at the scene of the crash.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted off at Park Farm, Stanground, causing severe delays.
Traffic also building up in Whittlesey.
BREAKING NEWS 4.40PM: Police are in the process of closing the A605 between Stanground and Whittlesey following a serious accident.
An articulated lorry and a car are believed to have been in collision at around 4.20pm near the brickworks at King's Dyke, Whittlesey.
Diversions are being set up.
