Senior cadets prepare for tough training camp

ADULT instructors and senior army cadets are set to be put through their paces at a special training weekend
The Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force is to conduct the drills at Beckingham Training camp near Newark from October 16 to October 18.

Cadets are taking part from Billingborough, Boston, Bourne, Crowland, Holbeach, Kirton, Long Sutton, Grantham Royal Logistic Corps and Queens Royal Lancers, Market Deeping, Skegness, Sleaford, Spalding and Stamford detachments.

The cadets will do exercises ranging from obstacle crossing, defence and withdrawal and conducting of an ambush

They will train in fieldcraft, different types of patrolling, harbour area drills, camouflage and concealment, duties of a sentry and night navigation, living in the field and preparing their own food from army composite rations.
