Published Date: 29 May 2008
EARLY morning raiders have managed to get away a safe from a village betting shop this morning.
The safe was taken from the Coral Bookmakers shop in West Street, Bourne, at around 2.45am, after breaking into the premises.

Police were called at 2.45am, after a group of men were seen loading the safe into a car outside the shop.

It is believed the thieves made their getaway in a silver coloured five door hatchback possibly a Honda and with the registration number FL05 LXS or similar.

At this stage it is not known how much money was in the safe.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of West Street prior to and around 2.45am and may have seen suspicious activity near the shop.

Anyone who thinks they may be able to help is asked to contact police in confidence on 01522 532222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

I'm know I'm being pedantic, but Bourne is a TOWN, not a village. Get it right ET! (Good joke, saint BTW)

In Peterborough there would be No chance of catching them unless they dropped some litter during the raid. CCTV or a street wardens only become effective as litter hits the floor.
