ALMOST 100 irate residents voiced their protest against plans for a sex shop near their village last night.
Businessman Tony Ibrahim, who is proposing to convert the former Little Chef building into a licensed adult shop called Kiss Kiss, faced the angry audience crammed into Guyhirn Village Hall.

They told him they didn't want "a sex shop in their backyard" and it would devalue homes and ruin the character of their neighbourhood.

But Mr Ibrahim insisted the signs wouldn't be tacky and he didn't want to aggravate locals.

It was revealed that people have three more weeks to write to Fenland District Council to object to the plans - after an error by Mr Ibrahim which meant the advert for the proposals was circulated in a newspaper that isn't delivered in the area.

Full story in Saturday's Evening Telegraph.

Only in the UK. People are more concerned about a sex shop than youths who cause mayhem and attack innocent people.

If the site is empty then I think this guy will get the go ahead

Live and let live, you don't need to go in it if you don't want to.

It will hardly devalue homes or affect the character of the neighbour hood

How about turning into a permanent travellers site instead, that would devalue their homes don't suppose they would want that either!

Well said waynesill. I suspect the shop will do quite well as these stores always seem to do well though few admit to using them.

We are not in the 1930's anymore so it's not immoral and how it devalues a house is beyond me.

oh come on dread I suppose you have never had sex let alone been inside one of theses shops???you can buy all kinds of wonderful things which can enhance a sexual relationship.A good sex life cements a good loving relationship which in this day and age can only be good.So if you dont like this industry tough stay away the same as if you dont like what you see on television turn it off.The same as particular shops I dont agree with such as shops that sell hunting equipment for killing for pleasure I stay out of them people should live and let live. The only moral issue I have is the amount of batteries we have to dispose of!!! :-)come on guys invent a solar powered toy!!!
