NEW car parking charges have been agreed by Huntingdonshire councillors.
Short-stay car parks now cost 50p for an hour, £1 for up to two hours, £2 for up to three hours and £3 for up to four hours, while long stay car parks cost 50p for up to one hour, £1 for up to two hours, £1.20 for up to three hours, £1.50 for up to four hours and £2 for up to 23 hours.

Free parking at the Riverside car park, in Huntingdon, has, though, been axed.

At Riverside, a short stay section has been created where it will cost 20p to park for up to an hour and 40p for up to two hours.

In the long-stay area of both car parks it costs 20p for up to one hour, 40p for up to two hours, 60p for up to three hours and 80p for up to four hours.

It will then cost £1.50 for a stay of up to 10 hours and on Mondays to Fridays parking for more than 10 hours (up to 23 hours) will cost £4.80.
