Motorcyclist killed in horror crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Wisbech on Sunday.
Officers have launched an appeal for information after the latest fatality on a Fen road.

Stephen Mason was riding his blue Suzuki motorbike along the B1165 High Road, near to its junction with Fen Road, in Newton, near Wisbech, when tragedy struck on Sunday (May 11th).

His bike left the road before colliding with a tree stump just before 6pm.

The 35-year-old, of Kirkgate Street, Wisbech, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Pc Peter Bimson of Cambridgeshire police said: "I would like to speak to anyone travelling along the B1165 just before 6pm who saw the motorbike."

Lincolnshire police are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to call them on 01522 532222.
