METAL thieves have stolen more than £1,000 worth of catalytic converters from cars in spate of raids in the area.
In one incident, catalytic converters were ripped from a Mitsubishi L200, in Murrow Bank, Wisbech, and from a Ford Rover truck in Back Road, also in Wisbech.

Police say the thefts occurred some time during the evening of Tuesday and the morning of Wednesday.

And in separate incident at Deeping St James Car and Van Hire in Spalding Road, Deeping St James, raiders climbed over the fence to get into the secure yard before stealing catalytic converters from four vans and one car.

Police say the value of the stolen items is more than £1,000.

Anyone with information about the Wisbech thefts should call Wisbech police station on 0845 456 4564. People with information about the Deeping St James raid should call 01780 752222.
