My horses are stabled opposite and I cant get to them..the police have told everyone to evacuate because the smoke is highly toxic. Apparently its some kind of UPVC used in double glazing. This really is horrendous and troubling as the wind may change......i'm so worried.

Sim1, I don't think you need to worry about the wind change (as long as your horses are on the other side of the A605), the wind is likely to stay in the South West today, so blowing the smoke somewhere between Whittlesey and Thorney.....

Even though the smoke isn't near to me in Peterborough, you can now smell the fumes. I can only imagine the smell in the path of the smoke.
