Man cut free from wreckage

8.50am: A PASSENGER had to be cut free from the wreckage of a van after it left the road and dropped down a six metre embankment, landing in a field.
The crash happened on the A141 at Chatteris at 10.49am yesterday (March 26th).

The male driver managed to release himself from the vehicle before fire crews from March and Huntingdon arrived at the scene.

But the male passenger was trapped and firefighters had to use specialist cutting equipment to reach the casualty, who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
