MP gets new ministerial position with MoD following shake-up

STAMFORD and Bourne MP Quentin Davies has been handed a Government position with the Ministry of Defence.
Mr Davies has been made Minister for Defence Equipment and Support. The role will see the MP responsible for helping support the country’s armed forces.
The Defence Equipment and Support department also works closely with industry to forge partnership agreements, as well as provide ongoing requirements such as food, clothing and medical supplies.
Mr Davies said: “Our armed forces are doing an amazing job in difficult circumstances, and my priority will be to do all I can to ensure they get the best possible equipment and logistic support. That task is vital. I look forward to meeting as many of our forces as I can, both at home and in operational theatres.”
