Tara Dundon
Nick Petruzziello made a split-second decision to protect strangers from a knife wielding man, which almost cost him his life.
The 22-year-old from Dogsthorpe, was whisked to Peterborough District Hospital for a two hour operation in January, after having his stomach slashed open by a knife.

There was panic in Long Causeway when a car crashed though a barrier and mowed down two people.

Quick-thinking Nick pushed his girlfriend out of the way and tried to bring calm to the crowds, when he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen.

He said: "I hate even thinking about my experience as it upsets me and reminds me that I'm lucky to be here, where as some are not so lucky."
