A TEENAGE girl is hoping to become the next Miss Peterborough after making the first heats of an online beauty contest.
Kayley Allpress, of Dolby Court, Welland, Peterborough, entered the Teen Princess UK competition for 13 to 15-year-olds, and now needs the public's help in her success to become the beauty pageant winner.

The 13-year-old, who had a professional photo shoot at Fairlight Studios in London, was told she had made it into the first round of heats and now has a chance of making it into the finals.

Kayley said: "I was really surprised to find out I made it on to the website. I never thought I was going to get that far. I have always wanted to be a model when I am older, and I hope this helps me to pursue my career and become a Miss Peterborough in the future.

"All I need now is for people to vote for me."

Each month 100 girls will be photographed, and the chosen girls will then appear on the Teen Queen UK website, and will be put up for a public vote.

The top three girls from each age category will go through to the finals next July.

To reach the final, Kayley has to fend off the challenge of 49 other contestants. To see their profiles visit www.teenqueenuk.com

To vote for Kayley text Kayley Allpress to 84205, or call 09016 561530 then press 34.

Lines close on September 30 at 10.30pm.
