Hotel evacuated after 'bombs' found to stay shut

UPDATE 5PM: Orton Hall and the Ramblewood Inn situated in its grounds, will not be reopening today.
UPDATE 1.45PM: Police say a number of incendiary devices have been found, but have been made safe and will be destroyed on site.

BREAKING NEWS 12.30PM: Orton Hall Hotel in Orton Longueville has been evacuated after a device believed to be a Second World War bomb was found in the hotel grounds.

Police and bomb squad officers are also at the scene.

My dad, Inspector Gordon Whyte, was THERE at the incident. I feel very sorry for the wedding postponed. I heard a couple of bangs in my VERY OWN HOME! I felt scared and terrified. I was pleased that no-one got hurt.

Ok.. .. I didn't realise there was a weekday wedding in progress (I used to video weddings at Orton Hall).
