Historic visit to city's twin town

THERE was a glimpse into the past for visitors to Peterborough's twin town in France to mark the 50th anniversary of the overseas link.
Members of the Peterborough Rotary Club were treated to the Blue Light Walk around the historic centre of Bourges, followed by a trip to a castle being built in a quarry in woodland using only 13th century techniques and a tour of the Museum of Best French Craftsmen.

Afterwards, the Peterborough club presented their Bourges colleagues with an engraved anniversary plaque and a commemorative book and DVD to mark the milestone.
