Are the Council sure that they have this number of Roads that are not already closed due to roadworks?

How do they think the residents of Ringstead Rd area are going to get in and out of our part of the city,(Topmore Road is only way in and out) and what happens if we need emergency services ????? can someone enlighten me I have only been a resident for last 18months and was not in my Peterborough on this date last year. I could I suppose just go and see my family in Leicestershire again very early, but why should I.

I think you will find emergency services can always get through during a race.

I used to live not far from you, and for two years I was trapped in my house by the hoards of people filing past for 3-4 hours. I've since moved, and am still by no means immune to this yearly chore. It's a pain, but you've been forewarned by all the signs dotted about. Either leave town for a day out before 10:30am, take a walk/bike ride, or relax at home for 4 hours. It's a simple choice really.

An old friend tried to be militant and drive his car about mid-race, he was soon put right :)

Get out and support all the runners that are raising money for good causes, one day god forbid you may need their help.

It's only for a couple of hours one day a year, it is not as if there hasn't been enough pre warning and advertising of the event.

ITS A DISGRACE.

How about alternating courses around the city. Next year hold it around the Ortons, Hampton, Woodston & Fletton. The following Bretton, Longthorpe and Westwood so that people are inconvenienced only once every three years.

It is ridiculous to prevent people leaving there homes for four hours at a time. If this is the case then the course should be redesigned

So what if you are affected by the road closures just take time to think about the unfortunate people that the some of the runners are raising money for. Your misery !!! is 4 hours at the worst. Stop moaning and give the runners your support. My friend is running to raise money for the Special Baby unit and even if he does not finish he will still get my £10. Good Luck Mr Belson
