POLICE today appealed for witnesses after a 17-year-old girl was assaulted by two men.
The teenager was walking along Singerfire Road, Castor, near Peterborough, at around 10am on Saturday, 4 October when she was pushed on the back of her head from behind, causing her to fall to the floor.

Two men then assaulted her before she escaped and ran to safety. The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack.

The offenders are described as being slim and between 5'10" and six foot tall. They were both wearing dark hooded tops and on dark coloured bikes.

PC Liz Gardner, investigating, said: "This is a nasty incident that occurred in broad daylight just yards from a main road in a quiet village.

"I would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident take place or saw the offenders riding dark coloured bikes along Peterborough Road or Singerfire Road."

Anyone with information should call PC Gardner at Thorpe Wood Police Station on 0845 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
