YOUNG heavy metal fans dug deep to raise an impressive £400 for Macmillan Cancer Research.
Proceeds from the four-band bill at Peterborough’s Met Lounge venue went to the charity, and gig organiser Ryan Chambers was delighted with the turn-out.

Friday night’s gig tied in nicely with Macmillan’s day-long fund-raising campaign, which saw coffee mornings held up and down the country.

The four bands who attracted more than 120 people to the venue were Khalo, We Are Fiction, Lavondyss and Ten Years Ago Today.

Ryan hopes to stage another fund-raiser next year.
