A CITY man racially abused a police community support officer after being reprimanded for drunkenness, a court heard.
David Sayer unleashed a torrent of foul-mouthed abuse at the officer and her colleagues after they were called to Belsize Community Centre in Woodston, Peterborough, to deal with a disturbance.

Peterborough Magistrates’ Court heard the 25-year-old also headbutted a police van while he was being arrested for the offence on the evening of Thursday, December 11.

Rebecca Keogh, mitigating for Sayer, said he pleaded guilty to a charge of racially aggravated harassment despite having no recollection of the incident.

Sayer, of no fixed address, was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
